Deniz Aksoy is an artist who explores themes of nature, memory, and time. She creates observation-based works using watercolor, oil paint, and drawing techniques.

Deniz AKSOY

Deniz Aksoy is an interdisciplinary artist based in Istanbul.
Her artistic practice centers on the concepts of observation, nature, and memory. Moving between the disciplines of watercolor, drawing, original prints, and scientific illustration, her work brings together a structural examination of natural forms with layers of personal archives and memory.

The artist adopts a practice grounded in direct observation.
While focusing on botanical illustration and observational drawing in her recent works, she continues her research on archival photographs and spatial memory.
Aksoy, who has been teaching visual arts for many years, continues to pursue her artistic practice and pedagogical work in parallel.
